i have an 88 lx body that i bought a late model fi 302 out of a bronco for now i know the harness is diferent so should i find the top end off of a 5.0 or should i go carb. which would be easiest and most cost eff. does anyone have any input?

Carb will be cheaper for sure, however you have to deal switching to a non-return fuel system. If you want to make it mustang fuel injection you will need alot of stuff. If you find a donor car your golden, otherwise you will be spending alot.

You could maybe get a return style fuel regulator with three ports on it and just use the stock fuel system. I've seen these used before, but I don't know if they would be able to regulate the pressure down low enough for the carb.
