More than likely you would be fine, there are plenty of cars there that bend the rules.
I have no problem with event officials telling me I can't run it, that's fine with me. I have an issue with someone, who isn't part of the event staff in any way, threatening to do damage to my vehicle.

Only people that know they are cheating get this upset.

How is it cheating when it's basically a test and tune night on unprepped track? What am I cheating at? What's the gain? I'm looking to go down the track and I have a douche telling that they'll slash my tires. That's not supposed to upset me? Like I said, show up and slash them in front of me. It's real easy to act like a badass on the internet.

Ok this is out of hand.

    RedRocketVette,
No one at these events is going to slash tires. Maybe daydream about it but that's about it. All of us would however like everyone to play by the same rules that the FLD crew has put together for us. I have no idea if slicks are better because I have not tried them. I don't know why we are not allowed to use them and never brought it up with the FLD crew. However there are rules listed above in this post and on the flashlightdrags.com website that most of us stick to and we would VERY much like it if EVERYONE would.

If you show up and have slicks on and are allowed to run it might be a good idea to make it clear to who you are running that you have them on and this is just for fun. Some people put money/dinner on their runs so I could see running slicks being an issue if that is the case.

I think I should make it to the opening FLD.
