FLDs top street what is it going to take

Not sure if they will have the classes this season, just using the reference to classify the type of car. So with all the new builds going on what is it going to take to be the fastest street car? I am not talking tube frame gutted out race cars playing street. I am talking full factory interior, glass, alternator, heat ac, power brake and steering, hot lapping cars. Heck you can add in pump gas if you want. I just know some will be E85 so I am not sure where that puts the car. I don't have any up here, I can only get it delivered. Post up your opinions.

It will definitely be under a 6 second 1/8th car. I hope they do the street class again this year, it makes it more entertaining.

I run ethanol for a variety of reasons--my car can also run on pump gas without draining the tank or anything, so it makes it so easy to run it. I simply pump it in if they have it at a station, and if not, I pump 93.

Cars that require draining the tanks and all of that business, I'm not sure...everyone has a different opinion on it. Under 6 in the 1/8 is likely an 8 second car. I've never seen a car that fits Ruthless' definition run an 8 at my track, but they most definitely exist.

Curious to see what makes it out this year and fast everyone is.

I'm mistaken, I actually thought 9 second cars were under 6s, since my car was in the 6s at a 10.7. It must be the weight making the first 1/8th a bit lower on mine.

Depends on the build. My 1/4 was 11.6 and my 1/8 is 6.9

I'll be on pump gas with methanol injection, and it'll be driven to and from the track without any adjustments. I'm not sure how much boost I'll be able to run off the line but I'm footbraking it only so it should be soft enough that I don't spin too bad. I'd like to see what else is running there, I'be never been to a FLD event so I'm not sure what to expect in terms of fast "street" cars.

You will need a low 6sec car that hooks. The yellow cuda gave me a good run.

I am not familiar with a yellow cuba. Do you have any vids of the runs?
