New DD - 2010 Lincoln MKZ

Here's the MKZ. I bought it at Ranker Lincoln in Dunbar with 56k miles last week. 3.5L, Premium Sound, Sunroof, Heated/Cooled Seats, Heated Mirrors, pretty much so every option available except for a few small things. It's a pretty nice ride. I'm familiar with these cars since I have that 06 fusion as the daily. This will take it's place. So with that being said, the Fusion is up for sale, if anyone is interested in it. I'll post something up for that later on. In the meantime, here's some pics.

Thanks man. Does your friend like his? My fusion was a really good car, 141k miles on it as of today and the only thing I replaced was brakes, tires and a hose for the power steering pump because it decided to blow off on my way to work last week.

Nice ride. They depreciate quickly so when you pick up a used one you can get a lot of car for your money.

Thank you, they do depreciate quickly, but then they sit and hold at one spot for quite a long time. That's what my Fusion did at least. I bought it for 11,500 back in 2009. NADA still claims the Fusion is worth like 5500 based on the condition it's in (perfect mechanical condition and still pretty clean other than a few nicks from the interstate). I bought the MKZ for cheaper than the Fusion actually, with 5,500 mile differentiation. So all in all, good deal for me.

Exactly - I'm a big fan of buying used and letting the original owner take the hit!

I'm the idiot that takes the hit :( I still haven't learned my lesson over the years. I'm going to force myself to pick up a nice used example the next time I purchase though--this shit is getting old lol

I've never bought a new car. Seriously, here's what I do. I buy used, a few years old such as this Lincoln. It still has the Powertrain Warranty until April 2016 or 70,000 miles. Once the powertrain is up, I'll go online to the Ford ESP and buy an extended warranty. For about $2,000, I can have a full warranty package that covers just about everything for 5 years or 60,000 miles. It's just like having a factory warranty and buying new. The only thing is I don't take the initial hit. It's a win win for me. I don't need to have a brand new car. A car with 40-50,000 miles used is always great for me in my book. That's why I jumped on this deal. I did the exact same thing with the Fusion, and used the warranty once and that was last week for power steering. You definitely should consider doing what I do, it really saves a lot of money.
