Not effectively, trying to be ready to race for NMRA at MIR the first weekend of May, that will likely end up being a test too since my junk wont be as ready as I would want. I will need either a rental or some good testing real test soon after to be ready to race Norwalk. As I've mentioned before, I can usually get that testing by buying into the Trophy class at PRP on race days, or will go to MD for one of their race day test and tunes.
1st thought is you need to have a fixed date as early as possible to get strong commitment (schedule vacations, or whatever). 2nd thought is 50% of those that commit will actually show unless there is money down to lock it in.
Look at the big rental's that are done at Cecil every year, those guys are hustling entries until the last minute, then almost having to threaten cancelling to get monies in to have the event. No doubt having it at PRP strengthens the chance of people showing up.
I also still question what the goals are for an event. If it is a real test for people, PRP is great. If people just want to meet, hang out, and have a good time I would not overlook steel valley as a venue. No doubt it sucks for testing, but they would hand the keys to the place over to you for a barbeque / grudge race / make passes for fun format.
In the end, just thoughts ... With my work schedule, events I'm planning to race, and other issues, I would be a "wait and see" depending on the date and will stop adding confusion to this. I hope it can be pulled off.
