Don't take this the wrong way, but why not just drop a V8 in it instead of spending all that money on a V6?

This, lol
TBH, I've weighed my options before. A coyote swap is too expensive for my blood. They usually end up running around 12k+ to swap into a new edge.
A 2v is slow, and stock motor limits are similar to the v6, so not worth it imo.
A 4v is a decent option, but still going to run some money.
I already have all the v6 stuff, the turbo kit, etc. I had a spare block, a set of ported heads, a cam, forged Pistons. I got almost everything cheap/ used from forums so I don't have a ton in the motor.
So for the money that I'd spend dropping a built motor into the car, could I drop a V8 in it ? Yeah definitely.
Could I make more power with a built V8? Yep.
Do I get the satisfaction of walking kenne bell cobras with a pushrod v6? Not with a V8 I don't lol
TBH the v6 stuff is enjoyable because it is different. I will say finding parts can be frustrating. I've had to custom make a good deal of stuff.
All that being said, my next car will definitely not be a silly platform like this.
I really like the s550 cars but they're a bit out of my price range still.
I need a new daily soon and am considering a focus st as it is fun to drive and decently practical.
I also don't have to go through the hassle of doing a V8 swap. It isn't terrible but wiring and stuff needs changed and I don't feel like going through all that.

I wouldn't mind a puppy. Everyone loves puppies. - I'll modify my statement - most 2v are slow - they can be built to be fast, but in my situation there is honestly zero reason for me to put a 2v in the car if I went to a v8. A stock 2v would be slower than my turbo car, a stock 2v and a blower would be about the same, and a built 2v - well at that point I'd rather put in a 4v.
You will have to wait for the new motor - right now it is stock terminator level lol
I'd be in - GF's brother has a whipple cobra that made 530 - I'll get some videos of him and I once I get the new motor lol
Small update again -
Painted my IAC motor semi flat black - because show car, lol. Looks a good bit better than the cast, need to touch a couple spots up though. That rusty mount bolt is killing me as well
On the racecar front - two things -
I bought some spark plug boot protectors from Summit. Seemingly pretty nice. They're not fiberglass which is nice as well, which reminds me - I need to order some more heat wrap - highly recommend the "lava wrap" stuff that Summit sells. It is also not fiberglass, so you won't be itchy for two days after wrapping something.
These came about because I have melted a plug wire or two - damn turbo cars.
Don't mind my o2 sensor wire - it is ziptied to my AC line so it doesn't melt lol
Finally - I made myself a ghetto bead roller. This is courtesy of Bob - I tried it on a spare piece of pipe I had, works decently. Will give your hand a good work out though.
This is a $6.99 set of wire crimpers from harbor freight -
https://www.harborfreight.com/9-1-2-...ool-36411.html
Essentially, I took an angle grinder and cut the wire cutting portion off of the end of them. Then, ground out a bit of what is both in front, and behind, the little crimping nipple thing.
Sorry for the blurry pic, my phone doesn't want to focus on something close up for some reason.
None of my pipes are bead rolled due to having to custom make the cold side. Without the ability, or access to - a tig welder, beading pipes is an expensive ordeal. An actual bead roller is also pretty expensive. So for $7 and about a half hour of time, this will work for me to keep my pipes from coming off. I really need to re work them probably, I have too many couplers, but that is for another time.
And even if the ghetto beads don't look very good, you won't see them under the coupler anyway, so who cares as long as they work.

What do you mean by slow 2v? .....
Liking the turbo v6 build you have going.

Another small update.
Bead rolled a couple of my intake pipes. Works well so far. Makes your hand hurt though lol. I only rolled a couple of them, some of the pipes are hard to get off without removing the front bumper cover and I had a short time frame before Carlisle.
Rolling out to Carlisle, friend of mine got some pretty decent rollers.

I ended up taping off my front end to try to limit rock chips on my drive back to SC
The car surprisingly made it the whole way from Greensburg, to Carlisle, to SC, without any issues, minus giving me a scare when I couldn't get it to start when I stopped for gas.

That tape job is ghetto fabulous. How many beers were involved?

Needed black tape. Otherwise not a bad idea to protect from chips.
