Carburetors and SAE wrenches.................
Buy Made in the USA - It Matters.
I'd like to. I moved to SC about two years ago.
The closest 1/4 mile track is almost 2 hours away, but there is a sketchy po dunk 1/8 track nearby.
Sketchy to the point that I paid $8, and then just pulled into the staging lanes and ripped off a pass. No tech at all lmao.
I couldn't get the car to hook at all, best I ended up doing was 8.8 at 91 mph with a 2.3 60' lol.
I'm in search of a drag wheel setup

Well, been autocrossing a bunch this year.

Car could use some stiffer rear end parts it seems.
In other news, I am trying to figure out what to do this winter.
I want to switch to a maximum Motorsports front end.
This will require modifying my turbo kit.
My current kit also needs new manifold flanges.
I'd also like to switch to a precision 6266 turbo.
Sooooo....
I bought a new hotside. 20191116_132648.jpg
Unwrapped all the heat wrap to find this.
Womp womp.
20191116_132104.jpg
Header is cracked.
The new kit also needs v bands vs 3 bolt flanges, a down pipe, and the turbo flange is t3 (not t4 that I need).
Debating what to do now.
Considering seeing if someone can fix my current headers and make me a new merge pipe.

Small update.
Have talked to a bunch of local places about doing some fab work on my current turbo kit.
Going to sell the one that I picked up most likely.
Considering selling/parting my car out and getting into an 03/04 cobra

Don't get on here much anymore. Bit of an update on Project 3PointH8....
I've been having a bunch of issues with the car.... problem one is that the turbo kit that it has is kind of shit.
Here is a pile of it after I pulled it off.
Here is part of the problem...all the exhaust and header gaskets were blown out. I was hoping fixing this would fix my idle problem.
The big problem ended up being that the flanges on the headers were not true at all, so they went to the machine shop to be straightened out. Ignore my terrible grinding to get them to clear the ARP head studs.
I ended up redoing the whole front end in maximum motorsports stuff last winter. Out with the UPR. I wasn't a fan of their K Member, especially for autocross.
Eibach sway bars as well
This swap in K members required my exhaust and downpipe to be reworked, so off to the exhaust shop it went. They did a fantastic job on it.
Unfortunately, this didn't fix my problems.
So we tried something else - relocating the factory O2 into the downpipe and turning the bank 2 O2 sensor off in the tune. This helped some with my driveability issues, but not completely.
I also had the front bumper repainted due to spider webbing in the clear coat. I also put a set of 03/04 mirrors on it. Also had the front windshield tinted in 40% ceramic.
Fighting me all the way, the car decided it was going to melt my power steering line for me. SMH.
Also had to replace the alternator.
And here we are now- these are from Mustang Week, the last the car has moved pretty much. I haven't driven it in about a month.
The car has something wrong with the clutch/fork/ throwout bearing and I've lost motivation in this project. I've had it posted for part out for about a month now but the V6 stuff is very difficult to sell, as there is not really a market for it anymore.
Also, I've discovered that my catch can (open breather) likes to spray junk onto my hood when I get into boost. I've had some weird blowby issues with this car since I put the new motor in it. Can't figure out a solution to it. Compression checked out fine. I'm guessing the ring gap is just too loose when it was assembled.
sigh.
