Ammo order came in. 22mag & LR

Just a heads up if anyone is looking. Got a 22 order in yesterday. Small amount of Hornady 30 gr VMAX .22 mag ($14.95) and a few thousand rounds of CCI .22 LR (4.99)

OK walked into that one. To clarify they are $4.99 per box of 50. Limit of ten boxes.

So what's the deal with .22 ammo? I know it's scarce, but I'm not a big gun guy so I don't really know why. I wanted to pick up a Kel-Tec PMR-30 to plink with at the range, but it doesn't make sense right now with how scarce(and expensive) .22mag ammo is.

No one really knows why 22 has been so scarce. Theories range from hoarding, government, just shortages, etc etc. It has sucked for nearly two years now. That much is certain. The PMR and the 22 mag, two very very hard items to get!
