Whoever told you that is full of shit. I've passed tech at MIR, ATCO, Englishtown with a Snell M, used it at multiple autox's, trackx's as well with no problems.

"For all 10.00 to 13.99 closed-bodied cars, either an open-face or a full-face Snell M2000, M2005, M2010, K2005, SA2000, SA2005,
SFI 31.1A, 31.1/2005, 31.2A, 41.1A, 41.1/2005, or 41.2A helmet with or without a shield is mandatory."

After thinking about this some more, I remember it was a tech inspector at a QCR track day who told me the "M" rated helmets were not allowed - about 5 years ago. Seems like different folks are being told different things.

lol, I've been told some hilarious things by tech inspectors throughout the years. One tried telling me my nitrous setup wasn't legal because the fuel solenoid feed line didn't run parallel to the fuel rails

I didnt blast through. I never really hit more than 25 mph. My exhaust is just loud is all. The volume makes it seem like I'm going faster than I am.
