New Member - GTR/Evo drag racing fool

Wanted to say hello and thanks for having this site. I was brought here by a member of the site (sk360 I believe) referring to track rental at PRP in June. I'd love to be able to participate. I'm positive I know a few people on this board, and if so, What's up! :)

I'm from Washington and have been racing since I've had my first car. Blowing up that poor GTP trans was a monthly occurrence...lol So I decided to get into Evo's and start breaking those cars. I've owned the Evo since 2003 (first non-dealer Evo owner in Mi). Ran a best time of 9.8@155 with her. I had pretty good success with that car at various events. It's been a love/hate relationship with that car. I still and probably will forever own her. It's just fun to drive and make some passes in. Used to be a tough car to beat on the streets.

I also own a 2014 GTR that I've been modding and losing it's warranty since I've owned it. I recently went 9.112@148 MPH on 93 octane in that car. That is the current "pump gas" record for GTR's. Looking to rent Norwalk this month to shoot for the first pump gas 8 second GTR. Then load up the E85 and let her eat. Really looking forward to making more passes.

All of these cars have been Buschur built and tuned. Dave is a damn good friend of mine and a master fab/tuner.

Looking forward to coming to a few meets and meeting some members.

I loved that car man. I ran a smaller pulley, exhaust, intake, headers, ported blower, etc... and a 100 shot of N20 :) The N20 was the demise of the my transmissions. That 4t64e was like a cat chasing it's tail. lol I hear now they have nice upgrades for those trans? Such a sleeper!

I have a turbo l67 in my fiero. GM actually built some really strong parts for the 4t65 for a few years but that dried up when they stopped using them in the fwd drag cars. I'm switching to a built 4t80e now, hopefully it holds! (you can see my build thread in the Fiero GT link in my sig).

    and welcome aboard!

Thanks! It will have the E85 tune in it by then. Just trying to get used to the car as it sits now. Then I'll turn it up. :)

Hi Matt. There is no such thing as a slow GTR. Not unless you've added weight and a sweet knockoff body kit...none of which I believe you've done. lol
