    Another dumb noob timing question

OK so I got a timing light tonight and set the timing. Let the car warm up, shut it off, unplugged the little jumper thing, started it back up and set it. It was around 12 degrees. I set it to about 14 degrees. That seem about right for this car ? I took it for a drive and it seems to pull a little smoother and didn't notice any detonation.

That's a good place to start. With the stock 5.0 longblock I experimented with the timing as high as 19*.
