    Reflective coating options

Hey guys, I've been doing some exhaustive searching trying to find a chrome like/jet hot like coating that can be applied to large items. I've looked at more powdercoating products than you can imagine and I haven't found anything yet that fits the bill. There is a product out there called ceramichrome from:
    http://www.techlinecoatings.com/BulkExhaust.htm
but its available to shops only. I have a large item that I want to get coated, but its too big to ship anythere and I don't know of anyone locally that can do a reflective ceramic coating on a LARGE part. (say 8 feet long, 4 feet wide). I know most professional powdercoaters have large enough ovens for this, but I've yet to find a powder that fits the bill. I've used "chrome" powdercoat myself on a few things and after you clear it the product looks like silver paint.

    My buddy used this product:
    http://alsacorp.com/products/mirrach...irra_price.htm
The result was OK, but it is very expensive and very hard to apply. I didn't really care for it.

    I appreciate any ideas/tips/suggestions. Thanks!
    -Paul

Yeah, there is a powder coat through Eastwood that is a 1 step chrome that looks REALLY good. I used both it and the stuff you have to clear, the stuff you have to clear gets more of a silver look to it, but this stuff stays nice. And there is a place near somerset PA that will powdercoat big items.. He did a rear end housing and sway bars for me. SUPER nice guy and super good prices. Roxbury Powdercoating is the guys business name. Might be the same place Troy is talking about??

Thanks! I actually have a eastwood hot coat kit and I have all of my accessory brackets done in the 2 step chrome. I saw that they now had a 1 step and planned to pick some up at Carlisle to try it. I was very dissappointed in how silverish the clear made the chrome look, maybe the new stuff will change my mind.

Yeah, I have the eastwood kit too.. Everything on my purple 67 Restomod Cougar is powder coated (brakes, suspension, steering, etc).
The new 1 step chrome is WAY better.. The thing is, most people dont bake the stuff enough (correctly).. THATS the trick to it..
