Best showroom bone stock 2015 Mustang GT time is 12.4 Thats factory tires as well. The average time is 12.7, whereas the average "best" time is 12.5. These cars are crippled with torque management from the factory, once tuned, they usually can shave a half a second off. Clutch protection on the manuals really neuters their launches, and torque management on the autos kills the shift firmness and schedule. As well as the aggressive IAT vs spark tables and how it closes the throttle above 5500 rpm.

Ok now for a serious post... IF they do put it on a diet and it loses 200 lbs and IF they really give it 460 horse and IF the interior isn't 80's retro I could seriously get into it. It will be interesting to see how it compares with the GT350 when it is finally released. Either way let the last hurrah of v8 musclecars continue!

The ss won't be gt350 competition. Gt350 is meant for the current and future z28 if there will be one.

If there is a zl1 it will go against whatever new gt500/cobra gets released.

The new Camaro has been confirmed to be 200lbs lighter. That still puts it a little heavier than the current mustang. But it has a better power curve. So for a year or so they should be even.

The coyote is due for a refresh shortly and will most likely get direct injection for the 17 or 18 model year. They have been ready for it for years.

Not saying I am skeptical about the weight, but the S550 was supposed to be a couple hundred pounds lighter than the previous generation, and that didn't exactly happen....

Had it for two years dickbag! LOL. Sold it a while ago actually. Opening the gun shop cost alot more than I thought it would, combined with the fact I never had time to drive it (1k miles last year) figured it was logical to let it go. Bought a WS6 after I sold it so I have something to drive when the weather is nice. Plus figured that as all I needed to still be faster than Philly :)
