2016 Camaro ???

There were 4 new yenko Camaros police escorted through Canonsburg Thursday. They took some photos of the cars in front of the old Yenko building by the old dairy queen. I got them rolling in on video and I told the guy driving a white one to let me hear the tvs. Sounded good. Only 50 made I understand and a bargain at 130k......lol. got some pics ill post too. Not a fan of the Camaros but those were the best looking ones ive seen to date.

How'd they get to put the Yenko name on them? Isn't the dealership long gone? Cool that they are making a few of these cars. I've always liked the Yenkos but honestly the money they bring is silly.

So just checked out the 6th gen launch...uh looks like some nice zl1 tech covered by a bland corporate shell. Not a big fan.

Meh... the looks are underwhelming... maybe, just because of all the hype. However, the interior looks much improved and, on paper, looks like the performance should be beyond current offerings from the other Merican pony cars.

Every time I drive by that building I think it woulda been awesome to see it back in 1970.

Really neat looking building. It was for sale not too long ago.

Figured some rich car guy would of bought it by now and moved it piece by piece to his man cave.

I think it looks pretty good. It does look more like a facelift as opposed to completely new though.

455 HP and 455 TQ and will weigh 200 less than the outgoing Camaro.

New edge Mustangs may be in trouble.....................

2016 Mustang GT Premium weighs 3707lbs at full fluids according to Ford
2016 Camaro 2SS (leather/loaded) is said to be almost 200lbs lighter depending on the model than the 2015 outgoing model. I've seen curb weights for the 2015 to be from 3875-3925, so we'll say the 2016 will be 3675-3725


2016 Mustang GT is rated at 435hp/400tq
2016 Camaro SS is rated at 455hp/455tq


2016 Mustang GT in Performance Pack form, comes with 3.73's, and with the MT82's aggressive gearing. It has gear options of 3.31, 3.55, and 3.73 for the manual.

These cars will be a driver's race, neither one is going to be more than a fender faster than the other with near equal drivers and traction.

At similar weight, I'm thinking 55 ft-lbs of torque makes a bigger diff. than a fender, regardless of gearing.

Going to disagree. Gearing makes a major difference. The lt1 also doesn't breath as well as the coyote does nor does it have the available rpm band.

It'll be a close race. The extra torque will definitely help equalize it.
