Traffic alert - Route 22 heading to PRP

I saw a couple of friends had posted about some construction/traffic delays on Route 22 around Delmont. Looks like Penndot did a bang up job announcing this. I can't find anything online on the Penndot site, or the Post Gazette, Trib, or tv news stations. PRP posted this on their site today:

TRAFFIC ALERT!! PLEASE READ!

05-01-2015 Heads up to everyone that uses Route 22 from Route 66 to the track. We just found out that there are lane restrictions on Route 22 starting at Route 66 in Delmont and going east to State Route 1055/White Thorn Road in Salem Township. Traffic will be restricted to 1 lane in each direction. Please give yourselves some extra time to make it to the track, whether you have to come through 22 or use an alternate route. We will share any additional information that we receive from Penndot. Our apologies for the inconvenience.

Ad in that 119 is closed a few miles north of Greensburg and the area with the lane restrictions is the detour.

Traffic moved ok going home Saturday night. What I don't get is why they have to shut a lane down for 4-5 miles, instead of doing it in 2 or 3 phases. I'll look again on Penndot's site this week, maybe they'll actually say what they're doing.

I took a ride up that way on Friday. About 6 miles two lanes both ways and two people on each side of the road working. I hope they are hitting it hard in the evening.
