158,000 miles... mostly original paint! Same engine since we threw a Summit catalog at it in 1998. Edelbrock carb, intake, and aluminum heads. E-cam. Balanced and spins smooth to seven grand. In '98 you could go Corvette hunting with 325hp. Today, it can still trash a '98 Vette!

'87+ front rotors with Lincoln Mk VII calipers, Turbo Coupe rear with 3.55s and discs too. Subframe connectors, lowered about an inch...Eibachs I think, but it's been awhile!

i've had it to St. Louis, Virginia Beach, Raleigh, Quaker City, Nelson's Ledges, Beaverun (been a few years), FLD's at Zelie (been a few years!) and it's the car I drove the night we got engaged 16 years ago.

    Occasionally cold A/C.

Fairly crude, borderline obnoxious, always fun, and dead reliable.

I've got an 85 GT, but I can't even find any pics of it sadly. Thinking about selling my cobra and getting the 85 back on the road this year.

^^^^ What does the '85 need to get back on the road? I think they are the best-looking foxes. Just stay away from the hideous cruise-control wheel!

Sadly it does have the ugly wheel. The non-cc wheel does look much better. I think it needs an oil pan gasket. I bought a new gasket last year just haven't found the time to put it on. Once I get it up and running I might convert it over to fuel injection and put one of the on3 performance turbo kits on it. I do miss hearing it. Nothing beats a healthy fox with flowmasters.

Aftermarket forged pistons, balanced rotating assembly, Comp XE274 cam, old school Y303 heads, Performer RPM intake, Holley 650DP, BBK full length headers, O/R H, Flowmaster catback, world class T5, 3.55's in an 8.8(7.5 w/2.73's stock), larger front rotors with SVO calipers. I'm a little surprised I remember all this shit since it hasn't moved in almost 9 years, lol

Had it for almost 17 years now. I doubt I'll ever get rid of it. It's been sitting in the garage at my old house in Millvale since 2006. I rent the house to a family and they don't mind it being there so I haven't moved it. I've got all the garage spots at my current place filled up and then some. That's why I'm starting to think about selling the cobra and bringing the old girl home. We'll see what this summer brings...

Don't sell anything. Especially the '85. Anything you have that long becomes a part of you. Cam wouldn't understand...

I agree 1000%. Once its gone its GONE! Most people spend the money on domestic things instead of picking up another toy. Throw an antique plate on the 85 Stang and get collector car insurance and your long term toy is relatively cheap to keep!

I would love to do a Coyote swap in my 86 GT but I dont have the expertise of the dollars. Curious how hard was it and how fast does the car run?
