    if gm would have built an 89 with the 88 suspension, a 3400 dohc v6 with a close ratio 5 speed and a vert, it would still be competing with the miata today.

    I think the fire reputation is what really killed it in the end though, people still talk about it today.

    That car is for sale for $5k, its tempting but its not as fast as mine, and I've reached the legal maximum on Fiero ownership. If you own more than one it becomes a national level fire hazard.
