Looking for a good name brand bike like trek or Gary Fischer. Anyone have a used bike they would like to unload?

Be careful and do some research with Treks... They just had a massive recall where the front wheel was unlocking and coming off while riding. Tens of thousands of bikes had the problem design.

That too?? There is a big one out now where the quick release handle over-rotates and catches in the spokes, sending rides ass over tea kettle.

I know CL isn't your favorite place, but there are tons of low-mileage, high-end bikes on there. local, too! put 500 in for a minimum price. weed out all the crap.

I just bought a new Trek Mountain Bike yesterday. Listed for $560.00 and got it for $499. Its gray with yellow graphics. Got disc brakes, alloy frame, front fork shocks and quick release wheels and seat. I love it.

I had looked on CL for one and decided i didn't want to buy someone elses junk so i decided to buy new.

Is there a warranty on the new ones like yours?

I'll have to get back to ya on that John. I'm not real sure. I would hope for at least a year. I do know after a month of riding they will do a free tune up (for lack of better words) on it.

BTW my Trek is a Marlin 5 model

I have a GT Palomar I'd let go for $200. It's in excellent condition. It was purchased for me new by my father probably 15 years ago. Everything works perfectly and looks almost new. I never ride it anymore. It's always been kept inside, whether that means in the house or in the garage. Depends on my living situation at the time. It is matte black from the factory.

It was $450. But hey, you must have been there when we bought it right? You couldn't get a bare frame from GT for 160
