    Powerglide

Thinking about swapping my tko for a powerglide. Guessing my car currently weighs around 3200#, puts down a little over 600whp. It has more in it, but with stickies im afraid to put more power to the 5 speed and clutch. Just put in 3.08s, but they can be changed. Car is primarily street driven maybe 500 miles a year. Looking for examples of setups with accompanying rpm levels at speed.

IMHO your not making enough power to justify a powerglide, a good th400 will do the job

I thought that too, but if I get to about 700 at the wheels and change gears I think it would work. I'm concerned with the size of a 400 with my 4" downpipe.

700 IMHO still isnt enough for you to use a PG, its more for vehicles with 850+ rwhp and even then the Th400 will do as you need

a downpipe is easier to work then making a chassis work that isnt up to the task

I'm gonna give my tko another summer driving it, then decide to keep it, trade for an auto or sell.
