Thread: 5.0 on E85, anyone running it?

    $2.29/gallon is what they are getting @ Speedway as of last wed.

    I went with kooks headers for this reason. I originally wanted ARH but did Kooks to avoid any problems down the road.

    Yeah, I kind of regret not going with them now. Although I was actually pretty impressed with the Pypes headers' quality. They fit very well for the money.

    Gonna wrap them, if I kill a sensor I will relocate them. Waiting on AED to check the LU47 gas logs I sent in yesterday so I can get the E85 tune loaded.

    Stay away from sheetz in Robinson. Garbage e85. My idle is all sorts of wonky right now from it. It's like all water.

    Thank you. Friends of mine who ran Sheetz E85 had issues as well. Gonna stick with Speedway.

    Well, got the base tune for E85....



    Gonna run a tank through before final tuning. Car feels a little stronger everywhere, not a huge difference but definitely noticeable.

    The gains aren't remarkable but pretty much the gains are throughout entire band. I like the smell a lot better than 93 when i come to a stop with the windows down.

    Yes with no cats the car stunk on pump pretty bad. Much better with E85.

    what you will notice is, the car won't pull timing, that is the point of E85. It's mild power gain NA, but when running in warmer temps your power will be consistent.

    Pypes. Driver side wideband pointed upward. Relocating them this week, tip pointed down. I have a feeling it was dying already. Car surged a bit part throttle on gas. Have an autocross sunday, hope the new sensor shows up saturday or I guess I have to pay a million dollars for I at the dealer.

    May not be the O2. Jumped to conclusions seeing how many have had issues with these headers and O2 location. Checked code cyl. 8 misfire. Pulled plug looks perfect, cleared code didn't come back (yet). Water may have gotten on the coil, plus there is a TSB for these cars for an oring on the crank sensor causing misfires.

    Drove the car home, full throttle falls flat on its face around 4k in 3rd. Logged car, lambda reading 1 under all conditions, throttle, coasting, cruise. Anyone have any ideas? Been back and forth a bit with Shaun from AED, just trying to figure this out so I can race on sunday. I guess I likely need a neutral profile relearn.

    Why would you need a profile relearn? Did you change the flywheel recently ?
