Today I made the 2hr drive to Masontown. I must say that Tim's shop is absolutely incredible for those who have not seen it yet. Thanks again to Tim and George C for the work on my car. It took a little longer than we planned but I was extremely happy with the end result. My cars best run was at 443hp and 476tq at 17 psi....we could have played all day, but a set of exhaust manifold gaskets prevented that. Can't wait to see how she handles on the street....Thanks again guys for making the drive well worth it!!!

Never met George, but the man seems knowledgeable and a great mechanic. Known Tim for years and I do know hes a great mechanic, doesnt talk down to you, and is upfront. You picked the right shop. Any work I cant do, Tim does. Congrats on the car. My avatar is a pic of my car in his shop.

Set up is a stock block 302...Gt40 iron heads... B cam... Edelbrock performer intake....CSU blow through Carb with extreme velocity hat....and went on the cheap with a 70mm On3 fox kit....car has a 3550 with a spec stage II clutch and a mildly built rear with 4.10's. Hoping to change that soon!

Very cool! I've thought about doing a similar setup on my 85. I'd go with an On3 kit also. Hard to beat them for the price. Not sure if I'd go with a blow through carb or one of FAST's EZ EFI 2 setups. Was Tim able to get the carb dialed in pretty quick?

Carb needed nothing...all Tim did was adjust timing curves a bit....even the fuel was right on!!!

What took so long on the tune?

Boost kept spiking and was inconsistent. Using the boost controller that came with the kit sucked. A quarter turn netted anywhere from 2-6 psi increase in boost...tried playing with the timing through the MSD box and it was up and down....just took some time to get it the way we wanted....I was shooting for 450 at the wheel...by the time all was said and done the exhaust manifold gasket on drivers side went and then we called it...we tried for that extra 7 hp....oh well...change gaskets....get a decent electronic boost controller and run the balls off her...lol
