So I had one of these in my car for about a year, and the car died on me last friday night, no fuel pressure. I had issues with the line not staying on the pump before, and I figured it was that.
Check out what I found.
If you're running one of these in your mustang, I'd be wary.
So the end of my line blew off the pump, as usual, but this time the line was frayed a bit on the end. I happened to pull the line off of the hat, and looked in the end of the line.
This is what I found.
That is the little metal piece that was on top of the pump. It blew off and went into the line, and got stuck, cutting off fuel. This backed up the line and caused the end of the hose to explode since the pressure had nowwhere else to go.
Piece that I am speaking of
It was originally on the top of the pump.
I am going to email lethal and tell them what happened. I am glad this didn't blow my car up or melt a piston or anything.
I switched to the new Deatschwerks 300m pump, 340 lph in factory ford drop in size. I will let you know how it is once I get some logs on it.
