    Dodge Hellcat

I am not keyboard racing here, I wanted to see other peoples reactions to the cars and get some input.

I had my first chance to watch a hellcat at the FLDs and was excited to see one in person off its leash. From what I have read and heard the cars are monsters in stock form but I was sad to see it getting its butt kicked after waiting to see one for so long. Now I don't have the details on the driver or if this was the first time out but here is what I saw.

The car seemed hard to launch on the rather small tires for a high power and heavy car. With that said I was expecting a top end charge to over come the cars that it was racing but that didn't happen either. Are these cars just low end monsters or do they pull up top too?

Has anyone driven one or seen how the perform against other cars in person? I am left kinda disappointed because I was all pumped up about the 707hp rating and all the internet articles I have read. I have not watched any videos and was going to when I got a few mins.

Do they mod easy like the Terminators of years past?

The guy at the FLDs with the Hellcat said he wasn't a good driver.

Was he using launch control or any of the onboard toys to help?

I've been following the Hellcat forums a little bit. Seems like they're still struggling with the tuning. When/if they get that figured out I'm sure those cars will make good power. Wouldn't be surprised to see 800 to the wheels with some simple bolt-ons. If they made a Charger with a manual I'd be much more interested.

The 2 down here that I know of were sold at sticker....at least according to the owners. A small dealership down just got a red one in and supposedly they are only asking sticker for it. $62K. I've only seen pic of it and going off what my buddy says. I plan on stopping by the next time I'm in the area to check it out closer
