Yep. Lots of broken axles.
I remember the very first time I ever went to a drag strip. I went with my buddy who had a turbo civic, and he took spare axles. Sure enough he sheared one off. He had a new one installed in no time at all.
Now I always bring spare axles for my Focus.

Carnage wasn't as bad as what I had expected. I was worried... within a handful of pairs, someone put oil down for a 30-40 minute clean up. After that, there were 2 cars stacked in front of the tower pretty quick for axle shafts, and 2 more for fuel issues. That was about it for carnage, thankfully.
Congrats on the passes! Sad I missed it. Glad everyone had a good time and was safe. :)
Thanks, was just breaking in the new tires Friday ... Later in the night I finally found the MPH I was missing most of this year. New tires was all over for 60' ... couldn't count on them to throw anything at them yet for ET. I tried one hard pass, went 1.55 60' with the front end hiked up, then had a bit of operator error ... The new set-up should work well once I get it sorted.
I was going to come out Sunday to hang out then saw the gate prices. and decided not to give IFO that much money, lol.
that was in his supra the rx7 is still ok
