I'm not sure, and I guess we won't know from me since I'm changing muffler and adding a CAI ... I doubt either makes a huge difference but you can't exactly call it stock after those.
The ET is definitely 60' limited. Best passes was run it 4wd, but if you try to get up on the converter much at all it's slower. We didn't try either full manual shifting or the tow/haul mode on the A8 ... both should I f let it run happier in the upper RPM where these things seem happy. My buddy has a 6 speed without the 3,92's and locks his to 3rd gear for best results. Mine ran out of RPM in third so we locked it to 4th. If you don't do that it shifts faster up top and never uses all the gear.
Ron has a pile of passes on his, his is the higher gears, A6, and 17" wheel combo, plus a cat back and K&N filter ... Mine beat his best ever ET out of the box stock with my wife driving ... The A8 and 3.92's are a sweet package together.
I wish I had more time to play with it myself, but we are going to NMCA @ Norwalk the 28th-30th and wifey will race it there (after it toes mine there). Trying to get it on the 14-0 index for True Street for her.
