    IT Position Available--Indiana, PA

    I am looking for a new Director of IT. My current DIT is retiring after 18yrs of service. If you have any questions, please PM. Below is the ad that will be placed starting this weekend in the Indiana Gazette. Just trying to give a little heads to anyone looking for a position such as this.

    Director of Information Systems and Technology

    STUDENT COOPERATIVE ASSOCIATION, INC. at Indiana University of Pennsylvania

    The Student Cooperative Association, Inc. is seeking a Director of Information Systems and Technology. This individual will oversee all matters pertaining to the efficient use of computer hardware, software, POS system, ticketing, web site, web design and other related technologies for the Student Cooperative Association. The responsibilities of this position include oversight of the operation of Association’s computer systems and peripherals, and all program/applications used by the Student Cooperative Association at the Hadley Union Building on the campus of Indiana University of Pennsylvania.


    Minimum Qualifications:

    Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Management Information Systems or a related field. Two to four years of related experience.

    Excellent computer skills, including Internet experience with HTML, CGI, MUNIS, Windows Server, Active Directory, IIS, ASP, Java, and Microsoft Office. Versality and willingness to learn other applications as needed. Working knowledge and understanding of the integration of various types of audio visual equipment with desktop computers, laptops, and other devices for local and remote conferencing. Pass required background check.

    In all seriousness, since he's retiring do you have a plan for when you want the role filled? You can PM if you want. I have a casual interest in it and the skill set required is congruent with mine.

    Thank you for getting back to me with information and I wish you the best in filling the opening.

    I highly recommend anyone in the IT field looking for a change to inquire about the position. It has extras that many places outside of an educational institution do not provide.
