Made it to the track tonight. Brought the wife's 2000 GT. Had a good time. Thought I broke the car after one pass. Intake tube came off between the maf and TB. Get her back together and back in line. Wife wasn't happy when I texted her the car broke after one pass. Oops.

Can't say I'm very impressed with the results. Even with regular radials I thought it would trap 102-ish. Best I mustered was a 98mph. 2.1 short times and and a couple low 14 second passes. Since traction was issue on hard tires I didn't leave hard but thought it would pull harder. I think the tune needs some work but that will come. Oh well. Bought it for a cruiser, not a racecar.

Saw Tim rip off a handful of 10.0's. The red firebird went 7.97! Farm truck ranger was in the low 8's. Bobs wife was giving the dodge truck a beating.

Slowsix....thought I saw your car on the sidelines near lane 1.

Yeah. I know. The t-bird had less mods, less gear but good tires and went 14.0 @ 98. Really thought this car with more mods and more gear would at least out trap the old technology t-bird. I think it may need some tuning. I don't know what the prior owner did with the SCT. But, like I said, I bought it for her as a cruiser.

The "R" must have blown off on the way to the track. Cost you 2 seconds right there.

Dan, that was my car over by the staging lanes behind the fence. I came to hang out for a bit.
I thought I recognized the silver gt with the cowl but didn't put two and two together.

Nah. I haven't been to the track in years with that car. I probably have over 1000 passes on it but I really don't want to break anything big so I have been enjoying it as cruiser.

I don't know about beating, but she is getting comfortable on the track now and with something sensitive to start RPM. Good training for her vert once I get it turned up

Bob. Will you be able to get half a second out of the dodge to run 14.0 class? I was seeing several mid 14's out of it last night.

I'm not going to try, lol ... it is rather sensitive to temperature and humidity ...

At Norwalk, it went 14.15 on a morning pass is 1500' air ... By the time we ran the true street passes it went 14.30 at 2500'. We dropped the spare and tailgate for those passes but lost the air.

same Suturday night, it was mid 14's trying some things, then went a 14.20 when the air got better later.

For or it to go a 13.9999999999999, it would need to be 1/4 tank of gas, drop the spare and tailgate, and have her drive in sea level air ...

I have no no plans to do anything more to the truck. As I said, the goal was getting her comfortable until I can get her Mustang on the number. She has been having fun making passes, and raced a NMRA event. Next time around it will be more comfortable
