    Question 2015+ 5.0 minor bolt-on results..... anybody local ?

I know I can search the www for this info. but just wondering if anybody local has installed some minor stuff (cold air, mail-order tune, axle-backs) on their S550 and if you got a baseline dyno and after. American Muscle is claiming 34RWHP and 47RWTQ with just a JLT intake and Bama tune.

I was just placing this virtual order for my virtual 2016.

You couldn't pay me to run a Bama tune. Take it to Tim to get tuned. If you need to do it mail order go with AED or even Lund.

Not sure if this is dragging this off topic, but has anyone seen any verifiable gains with a CAI on the 11-16s? Still running stock airbox can't seem to get a definitive answer. They pick up on the dyno with the hood open but has anyone picked up MPH?

I've never heard anything good about CAI's. Seems like the tune is where the gains come from. The factory air box isn't too bad from what I've read.

Yeah, staying NA probably for next year just trying to find some more hp. Going with Boss+TB or Cobra Jet setup.

I'll be doing Lund tune over the winter on my 15. I had his tune on my 11, and it was quite noticeable. No dyno time, only butt meter.

Yeahloh95 on here has the cj set up on a 12. Makes solid power. I believe he was thinking about a boss intake but went the cj route.

Loss of power on this test with intake and TB.

Big gains from 5500-7000 with cams.

Why the hate on Bama tunes?

I've seen the review from a few years ago that they weren't happy, but they seem to have gotten their s*** together.

Is there something in the data logs one should look for that is "bad"?

Why on earth would any of you guys use Lund when we have very good tuners in the area. Is it the big name? He detonated the hell out of my cobra when the 2.2 kb went on. His canned tune was down 40rwhp over a true dyno tune. Take your cars to one of the local guys who are hands on and get them tuned right. Every car is diffrent and no can tune will work 100%.

    Thanks Pure Stock.

Yeahloh, did you run the car with the stock manifold then the CJ? More concerned with the mph gain rather than ET for what I do with the car.

I know this is apples and oranges, but I had an '01 GT with cams, LTs, O/RX, intake, plenum, TB, u/d pullies, etc. Before Tim or WP started tuning in this area, I had a canned tune from Modular Depot. The only problem I was having is the car would shut off occasionally at low RPM or coming to a dead stop. I made an appt and drove my a55 all the way to Kauffman,SGS,DGR whatever it is now. Dave put it on his dyno and looked at the tune and said it was pretty much spot on. He fixed the minor driveability problems and I was back on the road, 300 bucks short, two TP tolls and a tank of gas. just sayin.

10-15 whp over the stock intake with a trade off in some midrange. Extending the operating range roughly 1,000 rpm may make it worth it as far as not needing to shift. I have a graph overlayed with a stock intake manifold vs. A complete cj setup. Not a dead nuts comparison though. It is a GT stock manifold vs a Boss with cj. The GT is ahead of the cj until about 5,600 rpm. After that it's cj.

From the one vid you posted it looked as though excluding the launch the engine gets down to around 4,000 rpm.
