Anyone WITH 4V Cam Swap Experience willing to help for cash?

My friend and I are pulling the motor out of my 03 Cobra to pull out the aftermarket cams, Stage 3 Comp Cams, that were installed by the previous owner. The car has too much overlap causing low compression across the board, boost loss, poor drivability and excessive EGTs. We have the stock cams and I'm not totally convinced the cams were blower cams anyway. Is there anyone in the Pittsburgh area with experience doing a job like this that is willing to help with the internals? We are perfectly capable of pulling the motor but I'm a little worried about the actual cam removal, install and degreeing. This would be in the next 6 weeks or so on a preplanned Saturday. Thanks!

My only piece of advice is to make sure whoever helps has the proper tools to degree cams in a 4v properly. I am assuming that is what happened with the cams that are currently in there since the stage 3 Comp cams should not be causing any issue with proper install and tune. I hope the original owner didn't cause any bent valves.

If your buddy is interested in selling the comp cams I might be interested.

I am the owner of said cams. I am more than happy to sell them to you after confirming they are in fact blower cams when we pull them. I agree that if installed properly, they should be fine. Clearly they are not installed properly (all cylinders show 95-105psi on warm compression test) and the car allows boost to dump right out the exhaust valves (my car is the solid blue boost line, dotted is another Cobra on same dyno). The heat is also incredibly excessive with the car running too hot to make back to back pulls without pulling power as is.

I do not know anything about the cam install, but I can lend a hand drinking beer or bring another Cobra for reference haha!

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

I can build one bank of a 4.6 4V very well! I'll definitely come up if I can. Plus, I'll get to practice on your car instead of mine.
I think there are some tools that you'll need to have on hand:

Sorry I read your post wrong. Thought you were helping a buddy not the other way around. LOL Something is off for sure. I would honestly start off by checking out the cams that are already in there. If the part numbers match up, then I would move on to degreeing them and seeing how far off they are. You could also find that something is up with your chain tensioners too. I have heard stranger things.

Wish I knew enough to lend a hand but internal engine work is over my head on the modular motors.
