Question Auto transmission options for a 4.6 4V

Let me start by saying I know nearly nothing about automatics. I've always been a gear rower. Now that I have a higher horsepower car I'm considering going straight to an automatic and possibly save myself from breaking a couple manuals along the way.
ANY info on autos for these cars are welcome. I'm looking for something to hold up to 800 ft-lb torque, and I can abuse repeatedly at the track, but also have good street manners and has overdrive for the interstate. Does this transmission exist, or should I scrap the auto idea and go with a built T-56?

you can get by with a c4 and some 3.27 gears it will roll on the highway fine and still work good at the track .let me know what you want to do with the 3650 i might need one thanks

Gear Vendors overdrive. Pricey but gives you the best of both worlds.

c4 and th400 are non OD transmissions, which was requested in the first post.
