Very nice! I can't wait to get back to that track and get some numbers after my last experience down there. (Blown Head gasket, dropped valve seats, bent valves bla bla bla)

Indeed Joe, tubes are the big difference. This was exactly the same pressure without tubes ...

i hate the extra weight but the results are worth it ...

we we had it better dialed in in the airbag after that pass, but they didn't seem to get any front on pictures.

Guys - how often do the tubes need replaced? Do you have to use any powder inside the tire like the old-school wire wheel guys use...to keep the tubes from chafing and developing holes?

Keep in mind, these are real race tubes, not your typical tire tubes. They are much heavier and thicker with screw in valve stems. That also means the tires need screws to lock them in place. Guys that have tried regular tubes usually see them fail fast (heat from burnout).

these tubes are probably 7 or 8 tears old, but used lightly. I didn't see any reason to replace them.

i coat mine with Murphys Oil Soap. Someone pointed me to that and it's worked well for me. They are a pain to install and it's like wresting a greased pig to get them in the tires.

That tire without the tube at same pressure is distorted a lot! The extra weight of the tube is well worth it in this application. Congrats on the new best as well!

Thanks for the info Bob. I figured they were heavier but wondered about the chafing. Keep up the grea work!
