Any thoughts on the outgoing 5th Gen Camaro

We found a no option 1SS six speed. With the 20% off thing it makes it tempting. My wife loves it. I am still a little on the fence. They are supposed run 12.9 on street tires. I would guess mid 12's with sticky tires and nothing else. The car seems to have power, but is much (too much ?) quieter and smoother than a Scat Pack Challenger. With the 20% off the Scat Pack is around 13-15K more than the Camaro.

Quieter than a Challenger? I see the appeal from the cost point of view, but personally I like the Challenger a lot and after sitting in the Camaro I just wouldn't want one. My wife loves the Challengers, so in this scenario that's the way I'd go.

Why not try to find a leftover '14 GT, or one with really low miles? They run 12's on street tires too.

Challenger and camaro are basically twins...same flaws for both, same power curve, similar sized motors

Unless they are giving away the camaro Id pass on it..

38K Stripped for 15. The price is going up for 16.

Can't find one under 40,500 on sale around here. Most are 42K plus.

    The Camaro is 27,600.
