Im picking up this 4v t56 twinscrew cobra and it has 3.55's. Im really thinking it not enough gear. Lol . Sucks about the intercooler piping.

We had a gas truck and diesel truck. Along with numerous other passenger car Rabbits. They are lazy things but a hoot to drive! The last one we sold went to California. I'd love to have another.
Aren't those rabbit trucks technically classified as scooters?
J/K - I like that old school stuff. That's why I get along with Dan.

How have your t bolt clamps been holding up? I did a boost leak test the other day and had about 5 of them not sealing properly. Threw some cheap stainless worm gear clamps and they hold 35 psi. If yours are working well, can you tell me where you got them?
Most of the clamps on it came on the car when I bought it, and I haven't done a boost leak test. I really should, though. I have owned some really crappy China clamps off ebay, but they typically fail due to threads stripping and they cannot be tightened enough. My general experience with t-bolts is as long as they can be tightened enough, they hold boost just fine. I'll look at the clamp brand this evening.

Thank you. No hurry, I was just curious. I just made a boost leak tester with a pvc end cap with a valve stem mounted in it. Works like a charm
Here is photo comparing 3 clamp styles I have. The brand that came with the car is called Clampco, and appears to be based in the US.
The design I do not like is on the lower-right, as multiple areas are not suited for tight clamping. The threads are shallow and the metal is cheap. Also notice how thin the metal is at the area the screwdriver is pointing at compared to the other two. This is primarily what you'll find on eBay from China sellers. They would work fine for N/A clamping, and are even cheaper than worm clamps. I use this style on my 4" intake hose without issue, but have had numerous failures in boost.
The lower-left is also from eBay, but it's a much different and more stout design, but of course it also costs more. Unfortunately I don't have a manufacturer name for them. This is my preferred style, and I've never had one break on me.
The upper clamp is from Clampco. It has finer threads, but their metal quality is very good. These appear to be stainless bolts, where the others are plated. They are also $11.65 each!

Wow.. thanks for the detailed answer. I appreciate you taking the time to do that. I'm going to shop around and see what I can come up with. I hate ordering things like this online, versus holding one in my hand and seeing the difference.
I agree 100%. I've ordered clamps like the one pictured on the left, and received ones on the right. I got my money back, but it's frustrating. T-bolt clamps are one of those items that have just flooded in from China. They are dirt cheap in bulk and easy to turn a profit on here in the US, but the quality tends to be poor.

I got the Mach 1 all shined up yesterday and brought it to the NCWV Cars & Coffee meet today. Man what a beautiful day! There were plenty of people interested in the turbo Mach. Not many turbo V8's around here.
My Mach 1 and my buddy Chris' ProCharged GT after the meet.

Haha! They are definitely built differently, with mine geared more towards the drag strip. I believe his car is at 650whp or so. Mine was at 10psi, as it was popping an intercooler pipe earlier today at 18psi. He slowly but surely pulls on me on 10psi. On 18 psi I figure it would have been reversed, but I certainly wouldn't have pulled hard on him. The S550 is a sweet car overall, and I absolutely love the grey.

Finally rebuilding my G-Force gear set transmission. Hoping to have it assembled and in before I begin remodeling the kitchen, but kitchen will win if timeline with the contractors is sooner than later. I'm really looking forward to getting this thing on the dyno and some track time. I figure that won't be until late summer.

Took the Mach 1 on a little 400 mile road trip this weekend. Averaged low 19mpg with the 4.10's and stock gearing driving about 75mph.
The car is unforgiving over bumps with the solid rear axle, spherical bushings, full length subframe connectors, and roll bar. It's rigid to say the least. With no front sway bar it's also interesting. I was definitely ready for a break from sitting in the hard Corbeaus after about an hour. WOT merges on entrance ramps reminded me why I have a car like this.
