Hey Everyone,
I have an interesting issue. I havent had time to really investigate, but figured I'd pick al of your brains. I have a 1999 V6 5spd and when the car is running, not moving, and at 1800-2000 rpm the car has a bad vibration. When i push the clutch in, it goes away. Let the clutch out it comes back. THis happens when sitting still, any temperature, and all the time.
Anyone have any thoughts? Any and all help is greatly appreciated!

Could your clutch cable need adjusted? I agree it could related to the TO bearing. Is it difficult to put the car into gear?

Per your recommendation, I adjusted the cable. Still the same vibrations. The TOB does squeal constantly while the clutch is not pushed in. Does not make any noises or vibrations when clutch is pushed in. Im thinking I might check to see what fluid might be in the tranny. It has 204000 miles on it, so I would like to assume that someone has changed the fluid at one point and wonder if they did gear oil instead of ATF.
Do you think the clutch plate could be out of balance?
TOB squealing may be due to the aluminum bearing retainer being scored.
Does the vibration get worse with rpm?
Other than that maybe the balancer is loose or broken...or a pressure plate bolt or pin could have sheared off?

I doubt it's related to a TOB, when mine was on the way out it made a shit ton of noise but no vibration.

No, it is only between 1800 and 2000 rpm with the clutch pedal out. When it is pushed in, there is no vibration at all. i can rev fast or slow from idle to 5000 without vibrations with the clutch pedal in. As soon as I engage the clutch at the specified RPM, it vibrates the whole carOriginally Posted by PaxtonShelby

Im from the South Hills area as well. I'm in Texas for awhile other wize I'd be more than willing to let you hear mine. It sounds like a spinning metal plate. No vides though. Mine goes away when you push the clutch in.
