    Cam's procharged cobra build thread

So figured I'd make a thread to cover the resto/modding of this car. And to prove I still own it :) Just a recap, it's a GT that had a terminator drivetrain swap. Has a pretty solid fuel system in it with 60# injectors and dual GT pumps. Now it had been fairly track bitched from what I've gathered and the IRS was swapped to a SRA out of a Mach 1. It is currently stock with the 3.55's. The trans that was in it when I bought it is a tr3650 with a hurt third gear in it. Sourced another 3650 to get in it and will decide on a long term transmission plan. Now as with every modified used Mustang I have ever purchased this has alot of bullshit going on that wasn't disclosed. I bought it on a whim and picked it up at night so didn't get a real good look at it, which I take responsibility for, LOL. First off, paint. It sucks. Not worried about it right now, but down the road a repaint would be nice. The rear suspension was totally stock. Added tubular uppers and lowers and also put in lowering springs to replace the skyjacker stockers. Still to high, but might settle in once I drive it some. Plenty of things need attention and will address them as I go.

So waiting for the transmission to arrive trying to get some other details sorted out. One shockingly ghetto item was the fact that the battery was just sitting on the frame rail held in place with a bungee cord. Facepalm. Ordered ford tray and retainer nut and took care of that

Another terrible looking item on the car was the busted up cowl. Quick click to LMR and problem solved

My Mach battery didn't have anything holding it down! I think I'll just move it to the trunk.

Something was missing from the back window, so he ran down to the dollar store and threw a For Sale sign back there. Much better.

No I went into that race as the underdog and knew it would be close, this time I'm bringing a bazooka to a knife fight ;)
