    If the GT500 doesn't excite you anymore, I'm not sure how this is going to revive your excitement.

    You say that the GT500 is "long in the tooth". Between that and the car not exciting you anymore, its begging the question:

    Is the "downgrade" in performance (a 116-117 trap is only a few MPH above my stock GT) going to temper your excitement of the new styling and interior enough that you regret the decision after you switch?

    Only you can answer that, but cam's anecdotal experience from other drivers should be considered...

    Yeah I think I'm off this Z28 kick .... I would be bored with the performance! I do like this particular car but I just couldn't justify 20K more for the car plus the power adds I would have to do just to achieve "like" performance of my old whip.

    You would be bored with the performance. - True statement unless you used the car as intended then you would find a whole new world of performance that the GT500 couldn't touch.
