    NMRA Bradenrin March 3-6

Any up for starting the season early? We are planning to make this for the first time. I've got a few little things to finish on the car, and am waiting on my new trailer to come, but we are still in for it. If anyone is interested in making the run down there, hit me up.

Lots of fun. One day I will make it back down there. Can't go wrong with Florida in early March.

Last one I went to was 2003. Wore out a set of slicks that weekend with an ungodly amount of passes from Thursday to Sunday

eh ... I should of stayed home.

Friday I blew up 2nd gear in my transmission. Went on a scavenger hunt and actually found one to buy. Put it in Friday night, and proceeded to clean off third gear in it.

Track is not what I expected. Jam packed, narrow pits, took a long time to get into the staging lanes when called.

Weather was spectacular, high 70's / low 80's and brilliant sunshine.

1050 miles each way, averaged 10.5 mpg towing down, 10.1 coming home. On the return trip we ran the air conditioning for ~8 hours, then I was pushing it all pretty hard for 3-4 hours to get north of Charollette before stopping for the night.

New trailer worked out spectacular. Very happy with all of my choices with that. Didn't regret a single thing.

I'm not sure I would go back just for the one weekend. Considering next year going down for NMRA, roam around Florida during the week, then race the NMCA the following weekend. It's a lot of towing miles for one race weekend.

We sure couldn't get the kind of passes you described Ed ... They went through for everyone to get one test pass, then called in by classes for a second, then by class for a qualifying pass (could of had 3 at most Friday). We then was called in for one pass Saturday morning, then the True Street (4 passes total Saturday). The bracket stuff Sunday was 1/8th mile with one time trial.

Sorry to hear about the carnage, Bob. But... you were racing! And it wasn't 70s up here last weekend. I hope you're all back together quick.

Probably had it swapped out on the drive home in that new enclosed trailer.

Indeed, although I'm not sure you can call what I did racing. Weather was great for sure. Standing on the beach Sunday morning washed away a lot of pain :) That and beer, lots of beer, but I think it was the beach.

Parts are here for the first one, should be together tonight. After it's together, pull the one in the car and see what it takes to fix it as a spare.

Nah, after breaking the second one, I drove it in the trailer and left it there. We did swap the first one in my buddy Ryan's trailer. It was a life saver to use his stacker as a lift.

Yes, yes, it does, both beer and beach, even better when it's beer on the beach.

We did that with Mark's Nova at the WFC 2 years ago, definitely a lifesaver. Good to have friends/racers that generous with their equipment.
