    Job Opportunities...

Taking a long hard look at investing money into a business this year as spring approaches or forgoing the idea and working for someone else. Have a BA from the University of Pittsburgh. Have worked some blue collar jobs as well as a job associated with the degree. Currently doing lawncare and landscaping. Competition is immense and work is seasonal. Income can be great at times but the inconsistency negates it. Been doing it as a secondary source of income since roughly age 15. Pretty much got myself through college doing it. Contemplating the amount of money it would take to differentiate the business at this time.

Anyone care to share openings in their place of employment?

I don't have any contacts in the 'burg anymore, but I do have a few elsewhere (philly if you want to stay in the state, down south if you're willing to go out of state). Would be willing to consider a relo?

My PM box is close to full but I can clear some more space if you wanted to PM instead.

I work for Climatech, they are a Commercial/Resi. Heating, AC, and Refridge Comp. We are almost always hiring, we are slammed with work. If interest google it and I believe there is a place to do an App on line.

Don't know where you live exactly but I work for the federal bureau of prisons. They have facilities all across the United States. Even in Hawaii. They employee psychologists and psychology assistants I believe. Good pay and benefits for sure. Here's how to apply https://www.usajobs.gov/

Depends on what position you start out at in the field. We have foreman making an upwards of $30 an hour and i think the grunts (Foremans helpers)start at like $14 an hour (I think) and pretty good benefits and a raise after 90 days.

Our union wages are higher then those foreman wages, our apprentices start off higher then what you label grunts

I'm no union nut swinger but they do "set" the wages for the non union guys.....

I'm just getting sick of the corruption in ours right now. Too much pocket lining in the Healthcare area....pensions in critical status ect.

I've worked in a union and had unions work for me. In my experience at state levels of union employment, unions also bring the work performance down to the lowest common denominator. I'm sure this is not the case everywhere but I've seen it happen on many occasions. Especially when you get closer to Harrisburg.

If it's in a skilled position job where production is the goal (which is the case usually) it actually makes the cream rise to the top. Usually the less skilled people are non. Just my line of work.
