Does your "o" ring still have adequate tension? That could be a big issue.
Did Dr. Jellyfinger tell you that or did you straddle a mirror?

So the factory quadrant is supposed to have the large semi circle plastic piece with all the teeth, and a second piece that those teeth interact with, correct? Sorry for a dumb question, but never had to mess with the quadrant on my previous stick mustangs. If so that's defintitely the issue.

Yep also if you go to an aftermarket quadrant you definitely have to buy an adjuster too. Make sure the adjuster is the click kind like steeda and fiore sells. They stay in adjustment better.
