Mickey Thompson ET Street R vs. Street S/S tires - any experience or opinions ?

I was looking at picking up a set of Mickey Thompson ET Streets for test n tune days. From what I can read, seems like the ET Street R ( #3552 ) is more of a race tire that can be driven on the street, whereas the Street S/S ( #3451 ) is more of a street tire that will give a little bit more grip at the track than a standard street tire. Am I reading the descriptions correctly ? Is the Street R worth the extra $50/set for a low-mid 12 second car ? Anyone have real world experience comparing the 2 ?

In what size? In the "R" group there are biased and radials depending on size. The R is the replacement for the ole ET Street, so consider then like that, although they mixed radials in there similar to the pro radial. I use the R biased in 28-11.50-15

Was considering 275/50/15 or 275/60/15 . Seems like most of the newer Mustangs with the coyotes are going with 28" tall tires but with an auto/stock gears/stock converter was thinking 26" tall might be the ticket

Seems like if you want to stay with a radial tire and 28", you can no longer get the ET Street in 275 60 15 ( 3754R ) from Summit, you can only get the Street S/S in that size. They claim it's discontinued ( JEGS still has it listed on their site ) and been replaced by the MTT-3754X which is a strip only tire - can not be driven on the street. Their suggestion for 28" radial is 295 55 15 ( 3755R ) which is an ET Street Radial tire
