    Another New Car Thread

Seems like everyone around here is getting a new ride for this year so I thought I'd join in on the fun. Flew down to Dallas last weekend and drove this beast back. After owning at least one 03 cobra for the last 11 years I decided it was time for something a little newer. I was originally looking for a 13/14, but with all the mods this 11 was just too tempting to pass up. There's not much on the car that has been left stock. My only plans for it at the moment are to swap out the tail lights for the 13/14 style and possibly change to a different hood.

I got on it a few times on the way back, but only really floored it once in 3rd gear... it did not disappoint. It makes 897 RWHP on pump gas at 19 PSI. It's built for much more power though. I've seen dyno videos of it making over 1100 on MS109 and it supposedly made over 1200 on the final tune. It's also got nitrous in case that isn't enough, but I'll likely be pulling out that system to sell it at some point. The pump gas tune is plenty right now, but I may get an E85 tune this summer just to see what it makes on corn. Definitely excited to put some miles on it this summer! Thanks Mark! It's only a 4 point cage. You can kinda see the main hoop in the last pic. I'd be happy to send you pics of any other parts you'd like to see though.

Ah OK I see it now. I was expecting a 10-point cage with that kind of power!

If it looks good, you'll see it. If it sounds good, you'll hear it. If it's marketed right, you'll buy it. But if it's real, you'll feel it. IG: @donuttrump

Definitely man. You gotta come check out the seats sometime. They were way more comfortable on the trip than I expected, but I may still be interested in a trade.

fyi - I have a brand new black hood from a 2011 GT500 with like no miles
Thanks for the heads up PJ. I don't think a stock hood will clear the big Whipple, but it does have different motor mounts and such on it. I'll check it out and may be in touch.

I do plan on making it to the track with it at least once or twice. I don't expect to be breaking any records, but it will be nice to make a few passes with it.

Ok let me know. We are supposed to have weather in the 70's next week. If there's no salt on the roads , I'll throw insurance back on the car and bring it out.

Haha, I was more worried about a car with this many mods making it all the way back. Thankfully everything went fine.

I've been working out this deal for a couple months. Was cool to see those guys on FnL knowing they detailed my car too. They applied a Modesta paint sealant to it. Will be interesting to see how that holds up and if it makes it easier to clean.

Yeah, I wouldn't be opposed to adding door bars, but even that wouldn't keep it legal when the car is on full tilt and I wouldn't want any more than a 6 point cage.

Sure thing, I'm usually around. Shoot me a PM if you want to stop by next week.

Hahaha, it's pretty outrageous for sure! I'm keeping the STI as my daily, but I will be selling my black vert once it's back together. Jeff at First Try is working on it right now. I think it was lifting the heads under boost. I may completely add up the mods one day. I started to once and got tired, lol. Everything is the best of the best and professionally installed. I'm sure it's over 6 figures if you include the price of the car.
