    Mason Dixon Saturday 3/19

I got my 3.22 transmission back together and made some changes around all of that. I should also have my 2.92 box back together this week as long as parts come through as planned.

obviously weather dependent, but planning to head to Mason Dixon on Saturday to test.

i need to know if I got this sorted out then decide if I'm going to Atlanta NMRA.

let me know if anyone is interested in going.

I'm going to make a last minute call as I REALLY need to test, but the weather forecast looks to be degrading, and I'm backing off going now. It is only supposed to be mid 40's, and now rain is creeping into the forecast.

I'm going to make another attempt to go this Saturday (3/26) to test. Weather looks ok at this point of the week. Cooler, but mostly clear.

Weather was good and we was there ... That's about all I can say good about that day. I broke a cam tower on my cylinder head, major failure for me.

Your recent track events really make me wish I had a truck and trailer just in case. And space for said truck and trailer.

Wow. I hope the head is salvageable. Cam looks toast. I assume it's a custom grind?

No aluminum, lots of issues with those. This "was" on of Bo's development heads.

if the cam isn't bent, it should be ok. Pictures make that look different than it really is.

I I have a loaner head and cam (if needed) at home. See how bad everything is when the get it apart and I've got a f
guy that feels he can fix it. We will see

What do you think is the reason for the failure?

    fatigue due to mileage?
    rpm and harmonics?
Heat induced (lack of oiling) and fatigue?

Doesn't look like the brg spun first.
