Custom Plate

Does PENNDOT have anywhere online you can search to check the availibility for a custom liscense plate?

I have my personalized plate ordered and should be receiving it ANY f*ckin day now, LOL.....

What I did was called the DMV in Harrisburg and asked if the plate i wanted was available, before sending in the application only to have it rejected 20 times.

So, here's what you do...

call the DMV 1-717-391-6190 .. option 2 personalizd plates, option 8 check availability. That will get you to a person, you can give them your suggestions. They will tell you if its available or not. If it's available, they cant hold it for you, but if you send the app right away, you should get your first choice. I had my paper printed out and filled out when I called. Then it went out in the mail that evening. I called a week later, they got my app and I was able to go through the two steps above to see if my choice was still MY CHOICE.

There are also places called Auto Tag Agents. If you can find one of them, they can basically give you the same information. Closest one to me was in Philadelphia, so I figured if I'm callin long distance, why not just call the DMV...
