Question for those who know more about cars than I do.. (Most of you)

OK. I have a 2000 Honda Accord EX 3.0 V6.. We've owned it since 2001, it's been my wife's dd for many years till she bought her stang. blah blah blah... babied and pampered this car has been. Fast forward to now.... The last two years we have been having problems with it starting when the outside tempi is above 80 degrees. Like in the spring when it's below 70 in the am I can drive it to work but in the afternoon if it's sunny and above 75 I am F'd ... Wont start for anything... It turns over, the battery is good. Just wont start.... I am open to listening to any thoughts on this matter.

    Thanks,

    Ryan

I don't know anything about Hondas, but this seemed helpful...your exact problem.

We put a bunch of main relays in Honda's. Good chance of an ignition failure also. If the main relay is bad normally tapping on it will make the car start. Is it setting any codes?

I'm sure it is sending codes... I don't have a code reader, and for some reason the not so certified people at Autozone were unable to get their code reader to work, said it was the port on my car. Will need to take it to the Honda Dealership I suppose. Thank you both for the info, if I can get the codes read I'll post em up.

Civic's had a light blue plug under the dash on the passenger side, or under the center of the dash, that you can unplug and use a jumper wire to find out what codes its throwing. Im assuming Accord's are probably the same way. Ive done it to a few Civic's, its super easy. Here's a video.......
