Is anyone going to this? It's looking like I will be.

If you want to see the Fairmont in action, and maybe get a ride, here's your chance.

I will be out of town - but have fun and be safe! PIRC is a blast! Have you run the new track before?

I've only been at an autocross there, in 2006.

I hope you have bigger brakes on that car by now right? Have fun, not making this one.

I'm up to '93 GT brakes with SVO calipers and PFC pads.

Well. I survived PittRace. The main challenge was, of course, the proper use of little tiny brakes and way too much horsepower for the tires. Damn, that track is bumpy. It's also interesting that they've already had to patch the line on a couple of the corners on the new section.

So, how much worse (from a little brake having standpoint) than PittRace is Watkins Glen

I was doing some lead-follow with the Mazdaspeed 3. Here's the video.

Mike, brakes. Holy shit. You have to be leaving 5-6 seconds a lap out there.

Car sounds great and you look fast everywhere else. Can't you squeeze 17x8s under there? How is the three link holding up?

I know, Mark. I know. Brakes and tires like the Boss 302, and then I'd have something. The next car will fix all those problems, and maybe 17x10s? The tri-link is good. I put some new rod ends in it last fall, and the extra supports seem to have helped the tearing issue that you had.

Hell the 12" Baer setup that I had on my '84 (Sam Strano bought it) fit under 16s and would be plenty as light as your car is. Glad the Tri link is still working well. Biggest change I ever made. What's the next car?

If there was a setup that was four lug that kept the tapered roller bearings, I'd have it already. Hey, I've already got 11s! Funny story...the tires in that video are 225/50-15s.

The next car is that powder blue '81 that I picked up a while ago. It'll have big fenders, full cage, etc.
