    Hypothetical engine build--opinions wanted

    Parameters:

    1. Engine displacement limited to 8.2"-9.5" Ford Windsor combinations
    2. Natural Aspiration
    3. Hydraulic roller (off the shelf/custom)
    4. Pump gas
    5. Shift point max. rpm under 8,000 rpm
    6. 550 FWHP minimum output
    7. Vehicle weight with driver 2,900 lbs.
    8. EFI
    9. *Should* propel said weight to 133-135 MPH and be capable of bottom 10 sec. e.t's.

    What would you use...

    cheap route or something that will hold together for a while???

    Dart blocks for 600hp? Thats some serious overkill.

    A seasoned 351W is good for 800hp+ reliably.
