1966 Mustang coupe in Saltsburg (listed on Craigslist for $3500)

1966 Coupe listed on craigslist Pittsburgh for $3500. I drive by this twice a day on 380 just down the road from Kiski Prep School.

A little old school for a reasonable price. Maybe someones driver????

Thought the price was a typo until I looked through the pictures. Still a good deal I think.

Hard to tell what's under that paint. Looks like lots of bad bodywork that is hiding God knows what. The panel behind the rear window looks really bad. If the floors are ok it might be a fair deal but chances are several body panels need replaced. That interior needs $1500 minimum to look decent. I'd also be curious to see if the car was originally a V8 ( C, A, or K code ) or a straight 6 ( T code ). Suspension is 5-lug which indicates a V8 car, as 6 cylinder cars had 4-Lug wheels 1964-66.

I will say, the ad seems very truthful. I go to Keystone that way sometimes, and it has been sitting out since September 2015, in the same spot. If it was a fastback, I probably would have been sniffing at it the first time I drove past it. :D

Hmm for 3500 I would buy if front and floors are solid. Rest is easy to fix if need be. Interior definitely needs some love.

This got my attention, then thought hmmmm ... if it's been sitting out and for sale at that price, and no one has been dumb enough to grab it, has to be a pile up close. Seems like guys was paying near that for VIN numbers to swap onto those new bodies for a while.
