The whole atmosphere is just so cool. Tons of cars everywhere, really have to experience it. Weather looks awesome. And there is no pit pass, your admission gets you just about everywhere.

This is one of my favorite events of the year... $20 is a bargain in my opinion for the event. Can't wait!

Saw your car Trav - looks nice! Hopefully I'll get to see it run later.

This event is such a blast.

    Edit - saw you run 12.08 @ 106.99 - nice job!

Thanks Ron. Had a blast and actually won my class! Other than some fun runs over the years, this weekend was the first time I ever officially ran. Must of been beginners luck... 12.50 on 12.50 dial with an .007 RT 😀

Did you run 12.08 earlier or did I make a mistake? If you did run 12.08 what made you dial 12.50? Either way nice call!

How about that '13 Cobra Jet...ran 8.97 with the power turned down to around 85%...only making 890 to the wheels... The owner was a nice guy - let Lilly sit in the drivers seat and talked to us for a while. He said the car has over 600 passes on it. Gotta love that!

I ran a 12.18 manually shifting the auto... Was averaging 12.50s when running in "Drive" and the class I was running you had to dial to the nearest 10th, hence my 12.50 dial.

Congrats Trav! I was in the tower all weekend, and couldn't get out to socialize. I was wondering why the car was running different, was worried you had a problem. I don't know much about Nostalgic Notions and their rules. They do their own thing. Scary Mary and Dave are super nice people. Unbelievable day on Saturday, just about sensory overload. I wish I could have gone up in the show field. There was a '70 Vista Cruiser and a couple of Willys I would have liked to check out at least, instead of through binoculars.

Paul Roderick with the '12 Cobra Jet, yep, he isn't afraid to run it. He's been here for early and late season testing, Pro Am, Tri State Stock/Super Stock, and he bracket races it too.

383 SBC, auto, 9 inch... Has a few 11 second timeslips from the previous owner on a more aggressive tune and 4 speed.

As of now, the 383 is coming out this winter. I've been bit by the drag bug and want to go faster!

Avg mpg this weekend was about half gallon of 50/50 mix per 1/4 mile pass!

Thanks... I didn't want to bore most of the crowd here with the details as Its basically just an old school/technology slow RACECAR! 383, flat top 10.5:1 Pistons, World Product Sportsman 2 Heads, Roller Rockers, stud girdle, Comp cams 280 solid lift drag can, Weiand Intake with Holley 750 DP, MSD

Turbo 400 with 3500 converter, BM shifter

Moser 9 inch housing and axles, Strange center, 4.44 gears with drag spool

Extra upper control arms like the old Super Stock cars and custon ladder bars

Will be getting a high-revvin, full roller, 377 over the winter if all goes as planned
