    Welcome to Pennsylvania Comrades

For those who don't know there is a fairly new rule in the state inspection manual that says you can't run a smaller tire on your car than what it came with. That means No big and littles, No lowriders, and it even means one older lady at work with a Grand Cherokee can no longer get her car inspected with 1 size smaller tires on it. This was done 15 years ago to that car so she could get in it. I called SEMA about it and they kinda blew me off. One person bitching is not enough. Next thing will be no bigger tires either. The rule actually directly contradicts Pennsylvania state law.
Get involved. Contact SEMA here. Enough people complaining with get results. Spread the word.

She just needs to go to another garage. I would guarantee 99% of inspection mechanics never check the often non existent door tag to see what size the car originally came with. I still see brodozers and stanced douchebags everywhere.

Tire Rack always points this out when I buy winter tires that are smaller. They still sell them, they just make sure you're aware about inspection.

So what about my Wife's winter tires on her edge sport? They're 18" and the original tires are 22" but they are the same diameter. I feel like an outlaw lol 20160729_085942.jpg

Easy don't take your car to some chain store that does Inspections. You get screwed anyways going to those places.

Same physical size of the tire. The load rating has to be the same too. Wheel size does not matter. I talked to several people from the state about it.

We should keep it on the DL if not too many people know. This could spread like wild fire.
