New best last night

I put a new head on my junk and headed to PRP yesterday to shake it down. Things came together a little quicker than I expected, ended up going a new best when I was feeling lucky it would go down the track. Really happy with the cars 60' times, 5 passes was 1.40, 1.41, 1.41, 1.38, and 1.40. Also starting to find some MPH at the same boost level ... getting there

Thanks all, I couldn't be happier to make 5 passes on a DOT street tire and be basically 1.40 every pass. The rest is nice, but that makes me happiest after fighting it for so long. Better yet it did it wth the tires at 15# so it was no drama. Lots of hours under the car paying off.

Yeah Chuck, she said you asked if that was a new best, lol ...I need someone to put a camera on her, she got excited when it left and missed the video of that pass. It's great when she is able to tell it's going to do a trick, not so good for the videos, lol

Yeah, in the heat of battle, the camera folks let us down :) I'm lucky she gets 95% of them real nice. Just the occasional miss ... I will say if he woulda went 9.999 and you got a picture instead of a video, he might of left you there

How much power is it making to run that mph Bob?

Well first statement is that I always question MPH at Keystone, and especially in the left lane. In my efforts to get this thing to hook I have had to drop the nose a little, and I'm certain the air dam is in play.

car races at 2985 the last time I was on scales, and I'm fairly confident I'm ET'ing reasonably ok for the MPH.

so playing with HP calculators, I feel like it's 129-130 mph or there about.

the ET calculator says 456 rwhp and 506 fwhp

using 129 mph it says 462 rwhp and 513 fwhp. This is likely a little too close based on my historic split.
using 130 mph it says 472 rwhp and 525 fwhp. This seems like a reasonable offset to me.
using 132 mph it says 495 rwhp and 550 fwhp, that's just silly for how well it's running.

in the end, it's making more power at the same boost so I'm happy with more to come. I usually make it easy and just say it's 450 wheel HP and 500 at the flywheel.

Slightly over 30# boost ....

turbo is sized to go 38#, but I am out of fuel right now. Need to upgrade tank, pump, and lines to the rail. The engine side is ready for it
